[align=left]Exodus 3:14, God describes himself as the I AM: "God said to Moses, 'I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" In John 8:56-59 Jesus claims to be God by calling himself the I AM, "'Your father Abraham rejoiced as he looked forward to my coming. He saw it and was glad.' The people said, 'You aren't even fifty years old. How can you say you have seen Abraham?' Jesus answered, 'I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!' At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple." John 10:30-33: "'The Father and I are one.' Once again, the people picked up stones to kill him. Jesus said, 'At my Father's discretion I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?' They replied, 'We're stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.'" Paul says in Colossians 1:15 that, "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God." John says in John 1:2 that, "He existed in the beginning with God." Peter says in 1 Peter 3:15 that, "you must worship Christ as Lord of your life."
In a nutshell, God is the I AM, Jesus says that he too is the I AM, therefore Jesus claims to be God. If the Bible is correct then Jesus was God, or every single document throughout history in the dozens of other instances where he proved he was God by raising the dead and performing miracles out the wazoo is a lie, and even your Jesus is not the prophet that he never (according to the Bible) claimed to be. And remember, the Quran was written more than 600 years after Christ's death, spoken by an illiterate man who could've never validated the argument by any historical sources or fellow witnesses. And why would God send Christ to claim that he's God, then have another come 600 years later to say, "Oh, Jesus (God) lied and I'm right. Jesus was a prophet, not God." Lots of conflicting information here, and I think we've both chosen our sides and won't budge.
